Move over, Beyoncé. There’s a new Queen B, and her name is Bernadette. When life gave her lemons, she made lemonade. Despite being homeless and pregnant with kittens, Bernadette never let tough times get her down.
Bernadette may look like a diva (in her stunning dilute calico coat), but she doesn’t act like one. This 2-year-old lovebug adores head scratches and will graciously flop on her side to make it easier for you to pet her. No, she won’t be performing in the Super Bowl halftime show, but she will happily curl up in your lap and watch it with you. Bernadette has been a single lady long enough. Put a collar on it and bring her home today!
Bernadette is waiting to meet you at Helen Woodward Animal Center. She has been spayed and is up-to-date on all vaccinations. Her adoption fee is $74. As with all pets adopted from Helen Woodward Animal Center, she is micro-chipped for identification. As an added bonus, she also comes with two free passes to SeaWorld.
Helen Woodward Animal Center is located at 6461 El Apajo Road in Rancho Santa Fe. Kennels are open daily Monday through Thursday from 12pm to 6pm; Friday from noon to 7pm; Saturday 10am to 6pm; and Sunday 11am to 6pm (last application accepted 15 minutes before closing).
