Do Clinton and Trump have you looking for a third party candidate?
We’d like to nominate Fiona in the race for your heart. This 2-year-old cat has two main platforms: more naps and going to war against the enemy (her mousie toys.) Fiona is also very diplomatic; she’ll accept food from absolutely anyone. She even looks presidential, always dressed to the nines in a tuxedo. In 2016, the decision is clear: vote to adopt Fiona!
Fiona is waiting to meet you at Helen Woodward Animal Center. She has been spayed and is up-to-date on all vaccinations. Her adoption fee is $60. As with all pets adopted from Helen Woodward Animal Center, she is micro-chipped for identification. As an added bonus, she also comes with two free passes to SeaWorld.
Helen Woodward Animal Center is located at 6461 El Apajo Road in Rancho Santa Fe. Kennels are open daily Monday through Thursday from 12pm to 6pm; Friday from noon to 7pm; Saturday 10am to 6pm; and Sunday 11am to 6pm (last application accepted 15 minutes before closing). For more information, call 858-756-4117, option #1 or visit www.animalcenter.org.
Surf Dog Surf-A-Thon!
Sunday, Sept. 11 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Del Mar Dog Beach
Helen Woodward Animal Center’s Annual Surf Dog Surf-A-Thon marks its 11th year on a very important date–9/11. Paying tribute to the wonderful first responders and their working dogs who keep us safe, this year’s dog surf spectacular will include patriotic ceremonies with special tributes for the heroes (both human and canine) who show their skills and bravery on dry land. In the water, more than 80 talented dogs will be judged on their ability to catch waves, stay on the board and fun-factor. The freestyle competition returns this year! Don’t miss the best dog surfing in SoCal.
