Once again, I can't say it enough: San Diego Comic-Con was incredible.
I grew up a huge X-Files fan and nothing excited me more than to hear the news of David Duchovny, Gillian Anderson, Mitch Pileggi, William B. Davis, and the guys who played the Lone Gunmen on the show reunited to create an X-Files audiobook.
It's one thing for a reunion for a TV show or a movie, but an audiobook is an awesome idea.
Prior to attending the panel for "X-Files: Cold Cases," I got to spend 15-20 minutes with Dirk Maggs, the producer of the project. He's an incredible guy with so much to talk about. I could've spent hours picking his brain on science fiction, X-Files, radio, and audiobooks.
The panel was so awesome because I not only got to see David Duchovny in person and hear him speak not only about the audiobook, but about his craft in acting and the impact he's had with fans across the world.
He's a very humble guy and it was great to hear how he also approached in voicing for the audiobook.
There were a few questions from the crowd including fans that worked closely with David. A gentleman who is an animation artist actually drew David when he appeared on "The Simpsons," and that got the crowd rolling...
If you're a reader, you owe it to yourself to listen to Audible's "X-Files: Cold Cases." It sounds amazing; there are great cameos from fan-favorite characters from the show, original cases, and, of course, world-class audio production.
I can't wait to listen to it myself. The thought of a presentation of one of my favorite shows in audiobook form is nothing short of intriguing.
