Dear James, Kirk, Robert, and Lars,
You came to San Diego for your highly-anticipated #WorldWired Tour. You saw. You conquered. San Diego will never be the same, and that's a damn good thing.
You told Atlas to rise, and dammit, you put the world on your shoulders and flat-out crushed it!
I have been a fan of yours for more years than I can remember. You gave me and the city of San Diego the most insane performance we could've ever dreamed of having.
You guys were like kids in a candy store with how much fun you were having. On top of that, your show was the tightest, most professional run concert/performance I have ever seen. I think it's safe to say anyone and everyone who was there could say the same.
I like to think the resurgence of your studio work is off-the-charts and you deserve mad props.
Every single song you threw down in San Diego was nothing short of epic. You seem to have found the fountain of youth and I want what you've got to keep myself young and shred every day of my life.
I know buddies of mine who are huge fans of "Creeping Death" off "Ride the Lightning" and the fact you could treat us to such a track was amazing. I lost my voice just screaming out of pure awesomeness.
Of course, no Metallica show would be complete without a little #SeekAndDestroy...
Thank you for a ridiculous set list. How can you NOT close it out with "Enter Sandman??"
A nice special touch for giving us Whiplash, Creeping Death and Fight Fire with Fire.
I've seen my fair share of shows, but I'm declaring you have put on the single greatest concert I have seen in my life.
I bow to you, the Lords of Summer.
