She’s got purrs in her furs and frisky in her whiskers- meet Tita! Tita is our fave “little black miss” at the Center right now, and with more sweetness than a cup of sugar, it’s not hard to see why. This 6-month old, 5lb kitten never stops purring and is always quick to greet visitors and ask for some scratches. She’d spend forever on your lap if you’d let her. Come meet her today!
Tita is waiting to meet you at Helen Woodward Animal Center. She has been altered and is up-to-date on all of her vaccinations. Her adoption fee is $128. As with all pets adopted from Helen Woodward Animal Center, she is micro-chipped for identification. As an added bonus, she also comes with two free passes to Sea World.
Helen Woodward Animal Center is located at 6461 El Apajo Road in Rancho Santa Fe. Kennels are open daily Monday through Thursday from 12pm to 6pm; Fridays from noon to 7pm; Saturdays 10am to 6pm; and Sunday 11am to 6pm (last application accepted 15 minutes before closing). For more information call 858-756-4117, option #1 or visit www.animalcenter.org.
The Ian Somerhalder Foundation has invited its Youth Volunteers as well as members of the public to spend the day at Helen Woodward Animal Center, to learn and participate in animal activities that may lead to future advocacy and even future careers.
For those interested in becoming a veterinarian, the day will include the Center’s Become a Vet Camp, along with spay/neuter lessons designed to teach the benefits of pet altering and its impact on cat and dog populations. Additionally, the Youth Volunteers will have the opportunity to learn about Remember Me Thursday®, the Center program that Ian and Nikki have graciously supported over the years, by acting out skits involving the messaging of the campaign and learning how they can actively participate online on September 28th. To learn more or to register, visit AnimalCenter.org.
