12 Days of Christmas 2017 - Day 4


The fourth day of the DSC 12 Days of Christmas began with a call to Amy who is a mom to three special needs kids. The children lost their grandfather (Amy’s dad) two days after the youngest son’s birthday.

As Amy and her family moved into her dad’s house, the refrigerator promptly stopped working, causing them to lose their food. During Thanksgiving the oven also stopped working and they had to throw out their turkey. Given these losses, Amy said sometimes she has to choose between paying the bills and feeding her kids.

Listen as Amy tells Dave how she’s trying to keep her spirits up and then the DSC's gift of $1000 to help her out for the holidays:
